Biography

Lee London is a Partner and Managing Attorney for Barasch & McGarry’s 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) practice.

Lee was born and raised in Westchester, New York. He graduated cum laude from Syracuse University and earned his Bachelors of Science degree from Syracuse University, Whitman School of Management in Syracuse, New York.

Lee attended Pace University School of Law, where he was accepted into the John Jay Legal Services Criminal Defense Clinic, giving him an opportunity to develop his litigation skills and solidify his desire to devote his life to a career in jurisprudence. Lee interned at the Bronx District Attorney’s office, where he was given first hand exposure to a broad range of clients and was able to further grow his trial room experience. In time, he drew on his natural born tenacity and acquired knowledge to handle his own cases, forming a strong bond with clients while fighting for their rights. Following graduation from law school, Lee joined Barasch & McGarry where he began as a Claims Administrator and grew to become a Partner and the Managing Attorney of the firm’s VCF practice.

Lee has been involved with the 9/11 Practice since its inception. Lee participated in the many lobbying efforts by Barasch & McGarry in Washington D.C. to have the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund extended. One of the proudest moments of his career was working with other members of Barasch & McGarry as well as John Stewart and John Feal to lobby congress to get the fund fully funded and permanently extended. He visited Washington D.C. during the House vote, Senate Vote and went to the White House Rose Garden when the fund extension was signed.

Lee is a frequent public speaker on 9/11 responder and survivor related issues and has been interviewed and published by many respected national news outlets.
