Yvonne

Yvonne, a professor at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, was teaching a class during the 9/11 attack and returned to work three weeks after. She didn’t realize that she was being exposed to serious toxins while she taught. Sixteen years later, Yvonne was diagnosed with 9/11-related breast cancer. At the time, she didn’t make the connection that her cancer could have been caused by breathing in the toxic dust.
