(Jump to Frequently Asked Questions)
Barasch & McGarry represents nearly 40,000 people in the 9/11 community who have been diagnosed with cancers or respiratory illnesses as a result of their exposure to 9/11 toxins.
Our advocacy has been instrumental in securing health care and compensation for 9/11 community members and their families.
Barasch & McGarry will continue to advocate for and proudly represent you as the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund launches “myVCF”, a new, modern claims portal. New technology offering transparency and speed will soon replace an outdated system.
This change is welcome news for Barasch & McGarry clients and the 9/11 community. We expect the time it takes the VCF to issue an award to become shorter with myVCF, allowing clients to get the help they deserve more quickly. The portal will allow for more efficient claim submissions and uploading of required documents.
myVCF will also provide an up-to-date status on your claim so claimants will be better informed. What’s more, myVCF utilizes the latest privacy and security tools so personal information is highly secure. The VCF is working closely with 9/11 advocates, attorneys and law firms to ensure a seamless transition to myVCF.
Be on the lookout for more information from Barasch & McGarry about myVCF soon.
What to expect with myVCF:
- New claims processing system
- Enhanced claims status updates
- Modern technology, offers better privacy and security
