Barasch & McGarry Calls on Congress to Fully Fund the World Trade Center Health Program

April 17, 2023 | Michael Barasch

Over the years, Barasch & McGarry has advocated relentlessly for the 9/11 community’s right to free health care and compensation. Now, we need your help.

While the Victim Compensation Fund has been fully funded until 2090, due to an explosion of cancers in the 9/11 community, the World Trade Center Health Program is estimated to have a $2 billion deficit by 2032. Without proper funding, the Health Program will be forced to start making major cutbacks and stop accepting new members in two years.

So many in the 9/11 community rely on this lifesaving health coverage, and any cutbacks could cost lives. I urge you to reach out to your representatives in Congress and demand that they support the 9/11 Responder and Survivor Health Funding Correction Act (S. 569/H.R.1294).
