Barasch & McGarry Remembers 9/11 Anniversary
On the 22nd year of remembering the horrific September 11, 2001 attacks, we acknowledge the sacrifices made by both the first responders and the non-responders who later returned to their downtown offices, apartments, and schools. 9/11 was a day of tragic loss and incredible heroism. Today, we remember not only those who died on that day, but also the tens of thousands of responders and civilians who have become ill, or passed away, since 9/11.
Whether they responded to the attacks or came back to live or work in Lower Manhattan, it is the 9/11 community who brought New York City back to life. It is their courage, resilience, and determination that brought the city together.
Barasch & McGarry was founded on the core values of advocacy and justice for the 9/11 community and a commitment to ensuring access to the health care and compensation 9/11 victims deserve. We recognize the immense challenges they faced, from health concerns to financial hardship, and we commit ourselves to be their voice and guide.
However, we can’t do this alone. We urge you to help us spread the word to your former coworkers, neighbors, classmates, and fellow responders. They too were exposed to 9/11 toxins. They too deserve free health care and compensation.
As part of our ongoing commitment to community engagement and service to the 9/11 community, Barasch & McGarry staff will be spending the day helping pack meals in collaboration with 9/11 Day. Due to our participation in this event, our staff will be limited until Tuesday.
It is a privilege to represent the 9/11 community. We will never forget.
With deep respect,
The Lawyers and Staff at Barasch & McGarry
